The photo top definitely isn't awful and I'm honestly really impressed with the tone and feel of it. What a pleasant surprise!
If you simply do not like the guitar and want to return, buyer must pay for the shipping both ways and there will be 10% restocking fees. This policy applies within 14days of receipt.
Seems reasonable to me when offering such an affordable instrument.
Yep. The seller seemed very eager to please. I don't think there'd be any issues if a buyer had a legit issue. However, there are probably many folks out there who expect $4k bass quality for 400 bucks. Honestly, the buying experience was really great.... probably one of the best I've had. The shop reached out to me and asked about string choice and how I'd like the bass setup. I usually have my tech setup my instruments, or I set them up myself (I can do it fine, but I have over 40 basses and don't want to spend all that time).... However, this came setup really well. I had fun noodling with it. The fit and finish isn't perfect, but it's not bad by any means and definitely not a deal breaker for the price.
Yeah the Tele seems like a good buy if you're after a certain style for a certain gig.
Right? I just had everything maxed too. I'll explore the tones more in the full review... but this definitely doesn't sound bad!
I'm just a sucker for value basses, which is why the $400 price on these All in One instruments make these interesting to me. It's one of the reasons I like Schecters and Corts. They're not the best basses by a longshot, but I like what you get for what you pay for. Oddly, I end up drooling over basses in the $400-$1000 more than the high end or boutique basses.
Cort is a very unique example. They produce the Lakland Skylines, Ibanez Premium lines, and others which are mostly all over $1000. Their house stuff has the quality but with their own brand name. You're basically getting it factory direct vs paying a company to pay another one to produce an instrument for them. That's what I assume is the reason why Corts are extra affordable. Very excellent bang for the buck. I've been on a Fujigen kick lately. Fender style instruments that are hand made for (mostly) under $1K.
I just got a Hardluck Kings Bombshell J-bass, series 19. Got it for 220 or so shipped. That thing a pile of turds, whereas this AIO bass for about $150 more is WAY better. fretwork/playability is superior, the electronics are much better, fit and finish is superior. I know they're not competing in the same market with the $150 difference, but IMO the value proposition is very much in favor of the AIO over the HLK. I feel like you're getting more than you pay for with the AIO, where the HLK leaves a lot to be desired (even at such a low price point). I'll be doing my full reviews on both, but you can already tell where my general opinion lies with this.

I feel the same way about the Wolf I bought from All in One a few years back. How would you compare the AIO to say a squier CV?
I might take the plunge based on your review!
I've never played a Squier CV... Honestly haven't touched a squier since the mid 2000's when they were notably worse. Comparing to my MIM P-bass, the AIO doesn't feel as high quality in terms of overall finish, but it's not far off. That being said, tonally and construction wise this thing is really solid. I'd think that a CV would be on par in most categories to this. This however has the unique looks and solid electronics make this a definite contender in the price point. I'll elaborate more and will talk nut width, string spacing, the "photo" flame maple finish, the different pickups, etc. when I do the full review. I messaged the seller (AIO Guitars), to get more info on them, their background, and the manufacturing process. It's nice to see a small brand produce a quality instrument at a good price. This isn't a crazy custom handcrafted bass, but definitely is one of those situations where the whole is greater than the sum of the parts. It definitely seems like the shop is taking great care to provide a good experience and quality instrument.

I've had my eyes on a few of their Jazz style basses.
