All in one pedal board/rack mount unit?

This is most likely a very noobie sounding post but I'm in need of some recommendations from my fellow tb'ers. I'm looking for a unit that has quite a few effects to really sit down and mess with. Looking for the basics ( distortion/overdrive, chorus, etc) along with some atmospheric sounds as well. The "dream" idea would to have it as a rack mount unit and have it connected to a controller pedal so I can easily switch between sounds. I saw the "Behringer VAMP-BASS-PRO
Rackmount Bass Guitar Effects Processor" which sounded like what I would like to have but wanted to run it buy you tb'ers and get your thoughts/recommendations. Thanks for your time!

I'm using a Line 6 Bass Pod XT Pro (occupies 2 rack spaces), am able to dial in whatever I want, or choose from a plethora of onboard cab and head models. Using a FBV Shortboard to control remotely, works like a champ.

ive had the Behringer VAMP-BASS-PRO its and ok unit but the line 6 is a WAY BETTER unit you'd be happier trust me i went from the vamp bass pro to a line 6 bass pod xt live floor unit and it was night and day

Thanks for the input. I tried searching online for that Line 6 pod but it would appear that it's no longer being made. I started to browse the Line 6 website and came across the Line 6 POD HD Pro Rackmount Effects Processor. Has you or anyone had any luck using that with a bass guitar? Thoughts on it?
