Hey all!
I have a set of Alleva-Coppolo pickups hand-wound IN CALIFORNIA! SUPER-creamy, punchy tone! Sounds very much like good worn-in 62 jazz pickups. No hype, just the Real Deal, imo. Silky top end, hard to describe. Buttery. Big lows, just sounds exactly like an old set of Js. Really killer. Absolutely perfect shape. They have lived in my bass since Leonardo Bosquez built this killer bass for me. I just need some hum-cancelling pickups. The basses are currently in my bad-boy Geedy Lee Super J, an alder and maple bound and blocked Fiesta Red growl machine. See pics!
I would trade for a like-condition set of Nordstrand SE hum-cancelling jazz pickups or a set of Bartolini 9w4Js (rare, but out there).
You pay shipping. Lowballs will be politely ignored. They were 250 new. If you want your bass to have the same tonal vintage magic as the AC basses, here is Willy Wonka's lottery ticket!
