I just discovered these guys. I guess they are a builder in the UK but I just heard of them. I am absolutely in love with some of their builds. Mainly the crazy burl tops they are using. Those are absolutely stunning.

I was curious if anyone on here has played or owned any of their builds?

Here are some of their builds I fell in love with. I want the exact guitar top on one of my basses, BAD!!!

One of those is Tom Bowlus' I believe.

I'm not a coffee table bass kinda guy- but these are making me rethink that position!

I just picked this up from Alpher Instruments for Christmas. It was listed on their site as "
[Invalid or Expired Link Removed]" It's a great instrument. It fits well in my hands and I'm finding that my touch doesn't need to be as harsh or heavy. This is the first "up scale" instrument I've purchased, my other bass is a Fender Mustang PJ short scale bass.

Probably aniline dyes

. Christopher talks about it around 4:40 in the video. It's a resin that seems to be vacuumed into the burl wood. He also shows some examples around the 10 min mark
