Hi, im new to these parts, didn`t even realise there was a dedicated site to these amazing instruments, My name is Dave im a rockabilly / rock n roll dj, that also makes stuff in metal, to put it mildly, I just made a skeleton double bass that I vowed not to sell, until we were fitting some stainless steel rails and stuff, in one of the major home builders here in Australia, the 1.3 million dollar show home apparently had a musical theme, so in conversation i said take a look at the bass i made here on my iphone, that was that, 'WE HAVE TO BUY IT OFF YOU " they had been looking for a sculpture for this certain area of the house, so that was that, bye bye bass, anyway now i am doing what i have been planning to do for a while , is to build a fully working polished aluminium bass, i will keep the progress going on my site if anyone is keen to see what im doing Link Removed ..speak soon ..
