Just got off the phone with Marco at Aguilar and thought I would pose this question to the community here. BTW, I don't mean this as a slam against the guys at aggy, love thier gear, I'm just a little frustrated right now. I have the aggie 500sc and the GS410,..my problem, the cones creased on my speakers,
I bought the rig just under 3 years ago. I should also mention that I never did register it, although I did purchase it new. I was hoping for some type of warranty help on this, but Marco said I was out of warranty.
I'm a fairly reasonable guy, and with the factors of it being really close to warrantys end and never having registered it, I didn't expect to get all new speakers free of charge. But when I was told it was going to be over $500 for 4 speakers, I about fainted. I can buy another GS410 here in the classifieds for that!
I guess I'm just disappointed that I wasn't at least offered replacement speakers at aggie's cost plus shipping. About my only option now is to order a completely different set of speaks from my local repair guy, which will be about half the cost of ordering from Aggy.
So tell me,...am I wrong for feeling somewhat slighted by this? Or was I just expecting too much in customer service? Once again, love thier gear, just feeling a bit bent over in the customer service dept.
