Amazon 9 Volt Batteries?

Has anyone tried using Amazon Basics 9V batteries? My main application is for my active basses.

They are way cheaper than name brands and have a 4.7 average rating on Amazon.

I'd welcome any experiences here.

They seem good although I'm more concerned with leaking and overall best quality.
I use them in inexpensive items.
I only use Pro Cells in my active basses & test equipment.

Being that you change out batteries once a year or so, don’t skimp on cheap batteries.

Why be cheap?

When it leaks out inside the guitars cavity, you’ll regret it.

Don’t buy 2 cups of coffee for one month and get a Procell or Energizer.

Even name brand batteries can leak. Duraleaks are the worst offender IME. I really don't want battery acid inside my bass and all over my preamp. I would go the opposite direction and get the best batteries you can afford. Lithium 9V by Energizer are my choice.

I've had the worst leaks with Duracell 9 Volts and one destroyed an expensive Fluke meter.
I've also had Energizer AAA's and AA's leak.
So far, I have not had a Pro Cell leak.
No experience with lithium's.

I change the batteries in all my active basses at least once a year - 8 batteries across 6 basses. I have used the Amazon 9v the last couple years without issue. I just got a pack of Energizers for the next round, and am planning on swapping those out this week.

I feel fine/safe using a medium quality battery and changing it out regularly. Mainly I see batteries leaking after they have been left in place for years, and I've seen fancy batteries leak in places where cheapos had no issue. Yes, I'm sure the failure rates are lower amongst the better battery brands. I think the main thing in battery husbandry is vigilance. Check on 'em. Change 'em regularly. Nothing worse than a battery going dead in a gig... except one exploding in yer bass!

I am ashamed to admit I change the batteries in my basses MUCH more frequently than in my smoke detectors, haha!

Never had a 9V battery leak on me (in a bass or anything). But I normally stick to Duracell or Energizer.

There is one bass that has been in a case for quite a while. Probably time to check it out. Or even remove the battery at least.

I've been using the Amazon 9V in active basses for a few years without any issues. I've had several leaky Duracells in the past, so I made the switch.

I get my batteries from Harbor Freight. I've also gotten the house brand batteries from Home Depot. No issues with either.
