Amp/Head and Cab help

First post up in here!

I just started playing a few months ago
and have decided to retire my Fender
guitar amp. Apparently it doesn't like when
you play bass with it.

I think its time to step up to a much more
powerful setup.

I've been looking at an Ampeg B2RE Head but
I'm not sure what cabinet to pair with it. I was
instructed NOT to get a 10" x 2 cabinet and
stick with 15" x 1. I have my eye on a 10" x 4.
(Ampeg B410HLF Bass Cabinet 300 Watts, 4x10 in)

Not sure which to go with.........Any suggestions?


I'll be playing Country mostly.

I prefer 10s to 15s myself and I own both a 4 x 10 and a 1 x 15

The 4x10 will definately not let you down, where the 1x15 might.

The ampeg b2r-e matches well with the 410hlf and then you can always trade up in heads and keep the cab.

I'd go with either a (2) 15" stack, or the 410HLF.
