Amp help?

Hello everyone,

I recently moved out of state for college, Guess what I couldn't take? My beloved amp rig :bawl:

Back in New York I have B2 combo, B2 head, BSE115t, and BSE410HLF all running together. They're heavy as hell, but have amazing tone.

Here in Kentucky? Nothing; hence the problem. I'm a music major who needs something that puts out decent wattage (enough to be heard in jazz band...), but will also give me good tone, as well as portability. If it sounds great with my upright, even better! Does such an amp exist?

Thank you so much for any help that can be offered, and I greatly appreciate your time.

I played in college jazz band for four years, and again for couple years as a grad student. Both electric and upright. My most powerful amp was probably equivalent to a typical modern 12" combo like the little MarkBass. These days I occasionally fill in for a number of different big-bands, including one that is just stupid loud, and I get plenty of sound with my 12" rig.

The great college downsize.

outside of the combos, i would look into the bag end s15, the aguilar gs112, the epifani 12, the bergantino 12, the ea wizzy, etc in terms of small boxes. bet you could find some used.

than there are a plethora of smaller heads in the 200-400watt range that you could probably score used
