Hey I have been playing bass actively for about 4 years now. I have just recently been given a wonderful Christmas gift. The wife picked up a Ampeg 1x18 cab 8ohms off of CL for me.
I want to create a full stack with it. My current equipment line up is:
Fender Bassman 250H 4ohms
Ampeg 4x10 B-series cab 8ohms
I already know that I am losing some headroom since the head is 4ohms and cab is 8ohms.
From what I understand it should be perfectly fine for me to add the 1x18 to what I have as a parallel connection. Basically bring the 8ohms down to 4ohms in each cab.
Am I wrong to think that? What is the best way for me to do this?
