Double Bass Amp repair in Vancouver B.C.?

I've got a 1970s Ampeg V4B that hummed like a fridge, got hot and now finally quit.

Who'd be the best guy/shop in Vancouver to overhaul it for me?

I've had my V4 serviced by Dave Vidal in the past. He's pretty familiar with V4/V4Bs, and he did a great job with mine. I'm pretty sure he's still in business, and the number I have is 604 437-3694.

For tube stuff Dave is the man. Ho's Electronics on Kingsway and Backline Services on Francis St. just off Clark would be alternatives.

Backline is really really close to my home but that doesn't really matter. I've heard lots of good things about Dave Vidal.

Dave is by far the first choice in my mind. Ho is good but if you piss him off you won't have good experience. Never been a Backline repair customer but worked a lot with their gear over the years and it is always in top condition. Someone is keeping it that way.

Isn't the Viva-Analog chap, JC Maillet somewhere close to Vancouver? Vancouver Island or one of the smaller surrounding islands?
