I’m pretty involved too for the looks, but Hartke does not make a 212 cab.

Besides, looking for a new sound.

I’ll most likely never mix the cabs, just inquiring to see if it can be done if I ever need to.

Looking at buying an amp that can power 800 watts at 2 ohms.

Would that combo be able to power a 212 @4 ohms, 210 @8 ohms and a 410 @ 8 ohms?

All of them in any combination? All together?

I’m just in the process of revamping my rig by ditching an 810 cab.

I know I’ll probably NEVER need that volume, but could theoretically can that be done?

Mesa WD-800 is one. It can deliver 800 watts at 4 or 2 ohms.

How you would wire up that cab arrangement without blowing up speakers you can't hear is above my pay grade.

Was on the fence for the Darkglass or GR 212 cabs.

Went to a local shop and practically did a complete gym workout manhandling the Darkglass to make sure I will not be in the hospital moving it.

The GR I was in the market for because of the weight, but it’s a bit elusive and expensive.

Besides, I can have the Darkglass with 12 months financing from Sweetwater with free shipping.

Easy decision for me.

I’m not buying junk stuff, so I KNOW it will be alright and sound fine.

I don’t think you’ll regret buying the DG212 cab, sound wise. And I wouldn’t worry about losing the 410 and especially the 210, if I were you. But it’s your call.

BTW, with just the 210 and 410 setup as shown, you’re driving the each of the speakers in the 210 with twice the power of each in the 410, if both cabs are 8 ohm nominal. That would definitely drive me nuts! No pun intended. Again, your call. But it hurts my eyes just to look at it! That’s my own OCD creeping in.

For me,the weight advantages of the GR carbon fibre cab would be enough on its own to win over the other options. But I have particular health and mobility issues these days that I didn’t have until about eight years ago. All three of my 212 cabs sound great (it’s definitely my preferred driver combination these days), but the lower weight is what makes the GR my favourite over the Mesa and the DG, despite the extra cost. It’s worth every single extra penny to me personally.

The 210 can handle 500 watts, while the 410 can max at 1000.

With my 500 watt head, the 210 will get 125 watts for each speaker.

The 410 will get 62.5 watts per speaker.

The volume knob is never over half.

It certainly cranks, as you don’t hear that gap in wattage.

I contacted Hartke, and they said blast away.

I used that setup for a backyard bash, and it was punchy, loud and had plenty of bass.
