so i own a ampeg 410 hlf. i love the thing.get a lot of compliments on it. but i have never used the dial on the back of it.
i know someone said it controls the horn?

what do you guys do with it?
everyone tells me to just leave it off.

I usually turn the horn all the way off myself

I like the horn on about half way up. Adjust it to suit yourself.
It depends on how bright your bass is.

I moved it once and accidentally turned the knob up without knowing it and thought my bass was messed up lol Too harsh imo.
  5. As others have said, half is a good spot. I have two, and one is up halfway and the other is either off or up halfway also, spending on my mood.

I'm kinda weird but I really dig running my horn full blast when using my Schecter P-Custom.
  7. im about half myself too, all the up sounds harsh and is a bit too much

Off is always my favorite position for horns.
