my cab needs new speakers. It sounds blown up when turned up really loud.
and it's really old. Probably a good idea to replace them.

What are the factory speakers? And what are better replacements?

A couple of years ago I reconnected all the wires, and checked all the screws.
I didn't see and cracks in the wood or anything unusual.
When I play around the 12 fret it makes a flubbing sound or blown out sound.
And the paper cones look sort of beat up

86-510-04 is the Ampeg part number for those speakers. Also you could have them re-coned. At $90 each for replacements and probably not less to have them re-coned, you could buy a used cab. I gave $350 for one recently. Above all, I'd make sure you need new speakers.
