ampeg B-2RE vs Genz Benz Shuttle 6.0

HA HA, I don't think that my old B2 sounds bad, but the positive weight/power difference of the Genz would seal the deal for me.
Well you could throw a Sansamp VT pedal in front of either of them and get an extremely close SVT sound. And really, the B2RE is OK, just not in a league with their other heads. But if I'm judging both amps on their sound without pedals, I'm taking the Shuttle.
I agree with Jimmy. I've had both and there was no comparison. The Shuttle 6.0 was better without question.
I have both the Ampeg B2RE and the Shuttle 6.0. The Ampeg was my first amp and I held on to it to keep in the rehearsal studio so I did not have to haul gear. There is simply no comparison - the Shuttle is a far superior amp.
My gig rig was a SVT 3 pro with the pro series cab (combined weight of 150-160 lbs),
I play the local bar/tavern circuit (classic rock/blues) and at 2am the last thing I want to do is haul the extra weight. The Shuttle is great at only 3.75 lbs. Combined with an avatar Neo cabinet my total weight is about a 1/4 to a 1/3 of what it was with ampeg rig. And I did not loose any tone quality.
The other thing I like about the Shuttle is it has better tone shaping ability than either the B2 or the 3pro. I play in all different types of rooms. Obviously most amps sound great outside especially the SVT 3 pro but there are just some rooms where I could not get a good tone. With the Shuttle I've not had that problem. Last weekend I played a private party in a metal warehouse with high ceilings, and a concrete floor and was able to get a great tone (with a little vintage growl). I've traditionally had a hard time getting a good tone in this typesof room with the SVT 3 pro. Oh and by the way you will never have a problem being heard.

So am I the only one to love my B2-RE?
It sure is heavy, but sounds pretty good through my 2 BSE-410's. I find it sounds a lot better when you DON'T use the graphic EQ.
