Also, is the process of replacing it difficult? I havent tried repairing a bass amp before but willing to give it a shot as I dont have the money to bring it to a repair shop.

oh geez, right you are. sorry...i'll take back my beta 15 recommendation...i think it only comes in 8 ohms.+1 Eminence.
The speaker that is in the B100R is rated at 4 ohms, so you'll want to stick with that to get the most out of the amp.
