Ampeg B15S Impedance Setting

I'm pretty sure the extension jacks on the B15 are wired in series with the main out, so the main out is 8 ohm, the extension out is 8 ohm, and it expects to see this 16 ohm load when the ext jack is in use. By putting a 4 ohm cab on the ext jack you'd be giving it 12 ohms (4 + 8 since the jacks are in series).

Edit: I found the source of where I saw that (http://www.talkbass.com/forum/showthread.php?t=181011&highlight=ampeg+b15+extension&page=9) and it refers to a B15N. Not sure how the jacks on a B15S are wired. Sorry.
