Ampeg ba210v2 Scrambler Effect

I've had this amp for around a year now and have never been able to like the sound I get from the scrambler feature for this amp on my bass. I don't know if I'm just not understanding how it's suppose to sound or if I'm not understanding how to set up the drive and blend on it. To me it sounds and feels more fuzzy than an overdriven sound.
I'm curious to know how others who use this amp feel about this feature and let me know how you have your settings set.

It's based on a vintage Fuzz pedal.

So I would say yes its very fuzzy.

Since they casted the label forward facing. When you look at the pedal I always read it as " bad we"

So the scrambler effect that's in the ba210v2 is based off this old pedal? Where did you find that information? Also would it be better to go with the Darkglass Aplha Omnircron bass pedal?
