Ampeg Bass Amp Series V2 .. Discontinued?

These still show on Ampeg's web site, but they don't have them at GC or Sweetwater. Have they been discontinued?

Reason I'm asking is a buddy has a BA-210 V2, which he might let go for a song so I did a search and not many came up. Ebay had them up to their ears!

I noticed that yesterday as well. I bought one new, probably the last one in stock at Steve's in Montreal. Now as you said the amp shows no longer available everywhere. Funny that Ampeg still shows it on their site.

I love the amp. I bought it as a back-up to my SVT and as a practice amp. Its a nice option for a gig with a small stage. Get it!

I went back and double checked Ampeg's site and still no mention. Weird.

Slayed by the Rocket Bass amps.

Good amps, I have a couple, too, but Rocket Bass combos are better and the BA's are just unnecessary competition for the same market at this point.

I just bought the BA-210V2 while not realizing there was the RB. I can't find one anywhere to try/exchange so I guess I am staying with the BA. What makes the Rocket Bass a better amp? I know its 10lbs lighter and more expensive. But does it sound better?

From what I've been told, yes but the BAs are no slouches.

Do the RB combos sound like an SVT at all? or are they entirely different sounding
