Ampeg guru's please assist

How tall is the cabinet? It looks somewhat short compared to the width. For reference, a B25B cabinet should be 29"W x 40"H. If it's the same size as an SVT-810E (26"W x 48.25"H) there's a good chance it is an old SVT-215E, although the speakers look too close together. In the drawings I've seen both cabinets used the same outer shell, the only difference being the number of internal chambers and the baffle board. A photo of the back of the cabinet would be helpful. Here is what an SVT-215E looks like with the grill removed:

Hence, my comment about the B25B; the cab look pretty squat height-wise, even though as JimmyM said, the aesthetics are more recent in style.

May be an MTI era 215 - especially if that is metal framing the grill cloth. Rare cab if it is - I’ve only seen it mentioned in an early ‘80’s price list/catalog - but no picture.

Looks like white piping, to me, but it's not real easy to tell unless we can get other views, and/or higer res photos.

Dimensions are a must, regardless.

Could be an SVT-215E but it will be easier to tell by the speaker configuration of the speaker connections on the back

Here's some photos I took this morning of my B25B . . . BTW, it measures 29"widex40"highx12"deep, has the amp feet cups on top, three handles all on the right side and has 29 (!) screws holding on the back panel. The grill cloth isn't original and it's been rewired at 4 ohms:

I think most original B-25B cabs were wired for 16 ohms, later on they added a 4/16 ohm switch, not 100% sure of that though, B-25B cabs are very shallow back to front. Your cab does look like a B-25B cab but I also have never seen one with white piping, I believe Ampeg stopped making them in 1979-80 so any B-25B cab would have blue grille cloth like all 70's Ampegs.

Assuming those actually are 15" drivers, the close proximity to one another indicates a short (~40" tall) cabinet. Are any of the aformentioned 2-15 SVT cabs that short?

I’m sticking with MTI era (the only ampeg 215 I haven’t seen) unless it’s a different brand with an Ampeg badge.

The wiring looked like in parallel. If anyone might know what this is I'd be interested what model it is.

You could get that speaker reconed, but if it's not too many tears, rubber cement and thin pieces of light paper will fix them. I've done it and it works great. Even did it with duct tape once...sounded fine...no, really it did

+1 YouTube has some excellent tutorials. Easy fix but take care - those cones are bound to be brittle.

I would suggest contact cement over rubber cement. Rubber cement can dry out and get brittle over time.
