i have an ampeg svt 3 pro and the fan runs sometimes and sometimes it dont well when it dosent it kills my amp by cutting off so it wont burn up what i need is to no what kind of fan i should buy for it

Look for the fans specs. It should be written on it. Buy one that matches or exceeds those specs.
I'd find a safe way to confirm my fan motor was still receiving power before assuming it was defective.

Currently I'm going through the "oscillating distortion" problem with my SVT III pro
Check and see if the fan and the area around it (inside the amp) is clean, the amps fan is temperature controlled, so dirt or dust can easily mess up the fan control.
