I am glad it's working for you! With the Mesa INPUT setting, are you setting the Input to overdrive the Scrambler tone some more? If not, I would advise turning the Scrambler up a bit and feeding the Mesa a bit more signal. Might sound even better.

I'm running the scrambler into the input and the mesa input is cranked. My bass is a passive G&L JB5 so it's output is not too high. The mesa adds a little bit of drive. The scrambler brightens things up and adds some hair that is very touch sensitive. I can go from basically clean to very mild fuzz just by digging in more.
I'll have to see what cranking up the level on the pedal does, right now it's about the same level on or off.

I have an Ampeg PF-50T running into a Mesa Boogie Powerhouse Jr. Cab (4x8 + 1x12 in the same cab). Love this rig!
I keep the Broughton tone close to flat and the gain bumped up a tad. Just adding a bit of coloration.
Thanks for the info. I’ve got an SV-PRE on the way to run with a Subway+ Preamp/DI. I want to control the EQ with the Subway and use the SV for drive. Sounds like what you’re doing. I started to get concerned after ordering it that it might not work as I had hoped being 2 preamps.
The scrambler also sounds great in front of a Genz Benz streamliner. It brightens it up in a tubey way.
