Ampeg PF 350/500 Part VII

Ampeg brand is on these but theyre made by another company. Ampeg non micro heads are i think something truly ampeg in quality still.
Right. In 1967, Everett Hull sold Ampeg to the Unimusic company. He never bought it back before he died, so yeah, Ampeg amps have been made by another company since 1967.

:D

But i love my pf350....
:eyebrow:

Besides the obvious you posted.... are you saying that the ampeg micro heads are NOT made by a different company from ampeg's big tube heads?

Hint: they are different.

Pointing out ownership of Ampeg in 1967 is entirely irrelevant to my original point and very condescending the way you responded.

And yes i love my pf350. Why the eyebrow?

I don't know where they're made, nor do I care all that much. All I know is that when I plug into one, I enjoy the sound.

Hint: they are different.
And different things can't be made in the same factory?

I didn't think so. I thought it was more condescending to say that they're made by a different company than the SVT's without any proof of it.

And yes i love my pf350. Why the eyebrow?
Because where or by whom they were made doesn't matter if you plug it in and get a sound you like.

I used to like KFC until I found out my local KFC wasn't the original. I'm sure that the KFC in Kentucky where the colonel began makes much better KFC. So I don't eat KFC.

KFC in China must be inferior because it's in China. It is impossible that they could produce quality KFC because they don't live in Kentucky.

That is all.

I myself would be afraid to eat any type of chicken from China. You never know where those birds come from! Any asian product is only as good as a company's commitment to produce a good product. In the case of the PF series enough time has passed to get all the bugs out. I had zero issues with my 500 in the year and a half I owned it and it was a very early production run.

May be hitting the cart button today to get a PF500 115H Combo.

I had my eye and heart set on a new P-Bass...but do I really need 3 Basses. :0/

Besides being in two bands now, it may save the loading and taking home components, due to a gig with one or the other band.

It has Arrived!!!!

I am now the very proud owner of an Ampeg PF500 into a PF-115HE.

Came in yesterday new via FedX. I was able to set it up this am and try both My J and P Basses...I have 2 gigs next weekend that may put this to the test.

Very satisfied with the tone and construction so far.
