Ampeg PF50T w/PF-115HE vs. B-100R

I have a PF 112 and a B100 R . The PF50T kills the B 100 R .
I also run it thru 2 PF 112s and works great for a lot gigs . B 100 R can't keep up with volume or tone wise . But I love my B 100R .

I would imagine the B100r would have higher volume. I found the tone of the B100r to be better a low volumes. At higher volumes, the B100r started to fart out.

On the other hand, the Pf50t + 115he has overall better tone and can handle low notes much better at similar volumes.

115HE cabinet has a slightly more heavy duty cast frame speaker. So either way would sound better than the combo speaker. Or not better but can get little louder without getting spongy.

B100R you'd think have slight advantage wattage wise. Tubes are tubes though.
Must be the magic....

But even a 100watt into a SVT15E have some more push. Little bit not much a bit
Just fun affordable cab have laying around.
100R gots the look though

The PF 112s get very loud . They are front ported with two of them I can get a pretty good SVTish sound without ripping paint off the walls . ThE SVT115E is voiced pretty close . I'm sure it will sound great . PF 50 head will surprise you how loud and clean it is with a good cab .
