I've been reading online about issues but I didn't know how widespread they were.I don't recall anyone on TB ever questioning or remarking adversely on the reliability of the RB series. Do you have some reason to suspect it?
I dont know. I'm just here to comment about how odd it is that Ampeg chose "RB" as a model line, that being the most famous model line of their main competitor GK. Or am I missing something in the battle of the "RB" moniker?
Are you referring to the issues with the Portaflex 500s?I've been reading online about issues but I didn't know how widespread they were.
Like what? I'm also looking at this one:I am not bashing Ampeg here in any way, (I own numerous Ampeg amps), but there are much better options out there (by Ampeg, and others), that I would prefer myself. Especially at that price.
I've heard this too, and it's making the case against the Ampeg.I like the RB 210 when I had it. However, when I had the tweeter turned on., it had a terrible hissing sound. Apparently that was normal, so I returned it.
All I know is... that Ampeg looks like it's ready to Rumble...
My RB-115 is whisper quiet.I like the RB 210 when I had it. However, when I had the tweeter turned on., it had a terrible hissing sound. Apparently that was normal, so I returned it.
