I did a quick search of the amp forum, but couldn't uncover the answer to this question.
How would 2 Ampeg SVT 410HE's stacked vertically compare to 1 SVT 810E when pushed by a SVTCL head? Assume that they are all US Loud era cabs.
I know the 410's are rated for 400W at 8 ohms and they're sealed, but they have a horn in each cab. Would they sound really close to each other given the speaker components are the same or is there something else that would make them sound different?
Hopefully, some of you have had the opportunity to play each and can give me a comparison. I've owned a CL with an 810 before. The 410's are interesting because they give the option of splitting the stack up for smaller gigs.
Thanks!
