Are you positive this is an HE and not just an E?
In any case if it's either, it should be part number 86-511-08. This is our proprietary part number however Eminence does make this speaker for us specifically.
You could change it out for a higher powered speaker or if you wanted to change the cab from 8 ohms to 4 ohms, you could then go with a 4 ohm driver instead.

Should work great. I'm not that privy about the tuning but I'd assume it would sound fine. Just keep in mind that you're going from the stock 8 ohm speaker to a 4 ohm speaker so just be aware of your cabinet(s) / head impedance matching there.
have an svt 15E and I think I read Somewhere, (maybe another thread) that the latest Beta 15 may work Ok, and I think the Delta pro is the model the stock ampeg OEM speaker was derived from.. mine came used with a 4 ohm BW 1502 and I am trying to find out if this is an OK speaker for the SVT 15N, as well; or would a Delta pro or Beta 15 Be much Better?.. use a V4 or a peavey bam (heads) sometimes, so I can go as low as 2 ohms if need be.. appreciate all the info, ya hear!
The H denotes "highs," which means "tweeter," and the SVT 115e doesn't have a tweeter, so no, he was correct.
The drivers are made by Eminence. If you have one made between 2000 and 2006, you might benefit from a speaker change (Delta or Beta 15a would probably work well in there). If it's made at any other time, I doubt if you'll get any improvement because the stocker is pretty darn good.
have no idea what year it is, could be an older one, since it had a 4 ohm BW 1502 in it.. the (part number 86-511-08) eminence came from a different cab , that it didn't come with either, imagine that.... maybe i can tell from the serial number on the 86-511-08 driver?

And you can tell from the number when the speaker was made, plus the cab should have its own serial on it. Speaker should start with a 67 which is Eminence's UIA number, then the next two numbers are the year, then the week of manufacture.

so thanx Jimmy M.. is this 96 model (usa made i suppose) delta pro replica better for the 15e than a 1502 widow or recent Beta 15 or delta 15pro for some reason?
Well it was custom designed for that cab and it's a sure choice to work. Not saying the others won't work, but I doubt they'll be an improvement.
I know nothing about it, but judging from the specs, I can't see it doing all that great in a bass cab. With its very low frequency response and its very low sensitivity, I think there are better choices.
