Ampeg SVT3 Pro vs Genz Benz GBE750

HI everyone,

Lately i've been thinking ,no i mean dreaming about getting a GBE750,i played with one for about an hour and fell in love with that amp.

The thing is that i couldn't compare because i didn,t play the GBE in my cab witch is a SVT410HLF.For those who know,do you guys think i would get an improvement by changing my head(SVT3 Pro)for the GBE and keeping the same cab. From what i experienced, the GBE looked far better than my SVT.

Thanks for helping!

Don't know why you didn't get no love on this question, but I'll try:

I've owned a GBE600 (the little brother to the GBE750), and I've played it through a SVT410HLF. It sounded absolutely killer.

I have never owned an SVT3 Pro, but I've played them many times in the stores (I wanted one real bad for a while) through the SVT610HLF and the 410HLF. I got over it once I played the Genz.

Also, with the Genz you will effectively have twice the power if you add another 4 ohm cab.........

I am after a GBE750 myself right now.....

if this gb amp sounds anything like a shuttle, i could be tempted to go gb over the 3 pro. i like the 3 pro a lot, but these new little amps sound as good or better to my ears.
