Ampeg V-4B with no load

Hello, I’ve been running my Ampeg reissue V-4B with no cab, running DI into my interface.

Someone notified me that running a tube amp with no load will damage the preamp. Is that the case with this amp as well?? Will I cause damage running DI into my interface with no load or cab attached?

DO NOT DO THIS.

It's the power amp section that will be damaged.
I used to use the original V4B with a huge (300 watt so I could use it for an SVT too) 4 Ohm ballast resistor on the speaker output so that I could go direct into the console with the pre-amp out.

A believe a proper impedance ballast resistor of greater than 100 watts is safe. Adjust your impedance accordingly.
