I just found this Ampeg V4 cab in a parking lot coming home from a show. I guess some band just left it after they loaded their trailer or something. There are no specs or labels of any kind on the back of the cab, so I don't know anything about it. Does anyone know what kind of speakers these are? I'd take them out and look, but I don't have the right tools to unscrew them because some are hex head screws. I've never seen a 12" speaker with a tweeter in the center before, but then again...I'm not too keen on speakers.
Also, I'm thinking about loading at least the 2 missing speakers with Eminence bass speakers because they're $45 a piece on ebay, and I'm broke. Are they ok to use? The top speakers in right now sound ok, but they're very mid-rangey. I intend to use a Bassman 100 head with this cab with my old Magnatone Hurricane bass.
