i have had my V4 head and V4 cab for years now. i wasnt taking them out of the house so i could keep them in good shape and fresh for when i would record with them. for the past few years ive been playing through a GK800RB/810 cab. i would use the V4 412 cab for guitar and it sounds awesome. one day i plugged the GK into the 412 and it actually sounded better than the 810 in my opinion. i know people play both bass and guitar through the V4 setup but heres my question:
has anyone used a different (bass) head for the cabinet for a long period of time and found that it works just fine? i would like to play both my guitar and bass out of the same cabinet setup instead of taking up space which i once had but now lack.
i am thinking the 412 and my peavy 2x15, and that has black widows so im not worried about that one.
