Ampeg V4BH for sale

In case anyone reading this is considering buying an Ampeg V4BH from the online site of a big guitar retailer (the amp is currently in Orem, UT), I thought some context would be helpful.

I bought that amp 6 months (or so) ago, and when it arrived, the shipping box looked like it had been rolled down the side of a mountain. The amp itself has multiple cracks in the case sides/corners and has a piece of wood inside break off completely. It turned on but did not sound right at all (I can't remember if it was a buzz or something else, but it did not sound right). I returned it to the Orem store and that was that. It almost immediately returned to the online site for sale (too quickly to assume repairs were made), but disappeared within a day... It popped up again last night, and I drove by today to see if it was the same amp (the small photo in the ad headline looks like the same one it had when I bought it, but doesn't come up when you click on the ad). It looks exactly the same with the cracks still there showing on the tolex. It's listed for the same $ and in the same condition as when I bought it.

Of course, none of this is disclosed in the ad. Potential buyers should be aware of what they're getting into.

TL/DR: Beware of this amp for sale online at a big box guitar store.
