Ampeg V4BH

Hello Talkbass'ers!

I've been looking at the 100watt all-tube amp for a few days now, with no chance to try it out - sadly :(

Also, I've done a search here on Talkbass and on Google and read a lot about it, seems that some ppl like it and some ppl dislike it for the amount of watts.

What I've been searching for exactly was, to hear it in action. Browsed through 13 pages in search for a band-myspace-link (or something) to hear it in context of a band. But with no luck.

So what I'm asking you here is if you, V4BH users, have any tunes where you're using this amp? :)

Thanks in advance!

I owned a V4BH before I bought my SVT. I was quite content with it and it's tone. It's no SVT by any means, the SVT has a certain "grind" to it that I love. The V4BH posses the same "grind" but doesn't if that makes sense.

If you play the v4bh through an efficient cab then it will do fine for any small to medium size gig, if you have a larger gig than that, more than likely pa support will be provided. The v4 is very limited on eq so like my svt it has that ampeg "sound", if you like it, you're golden, if not, sorry about your luck.

If you like overdriven amps, this one will do it easily.

All of this is of course my own opinion.
