Amps ohms and whatnot

I just picked up a Crown Com Tech 800 and I want to run 2 4ohm peavey 410 cabinets. My question is what is the best sounding yet safest way to run it? I have 2 options which are 1. Dual at 4 ohms which per the spec sheet would give me 490 watts into 4 ohms or 2. Parallel-Mono mode which gives me 965 watts into 2 ohms. What is the best way to run this and Is running it at 2 ohms going to cause any problem on down the road. Also will I hear and noticable difference in volume running 2 ohms. Thanx in advance and I hope I posted this in the right forum

I would recommend dual mono. This minimizes some specific losses that parallel mono operation sees.

It should be noted, that on this series of amp, parallel mono means something different technically than on other amps using the same or similar terminology.

thanks for the reply's
