An introduction:

My name is Bob - I joined a while ago but didn't realize there was an introductory phase.....
I was trained classical on string bass and played high school orchestra - a really good one. During college I was able to borrow a bass from the university even though I wasn't a music major, and was able to play in pit orchestras for musicals until I graduated from college. After graduation, I lost the bass because I moved out of state. Since stand-up basses are so expensive, I didn't play for 35 years! I did play some guitar, tho.

I got a bass a couple of years ago and have been having a ball playing every chance I get. We have local bluegrass and old time jams that I frequent, and I play in church every Sunday.

Eventually, I would like to play some chamber music and jazz, but for now I'm happy to play for whoever will listen!
