Cool beans, my '86 G&L SB-1 is on it's way. It's a Leo era model, whatever that means to you G&L guys.. It's black with a single ply black pickgaurd, and maple neck.

It's got some wear on it, but I've got no problems with that since 1- I know about them ahead of time 2- The bass is nearly as old as I am; myself being an '84 model. I suspect it'll be here come next Wednesday or Friday, but I can't help but post about it early. I've been without a new bass since (checks back posts) 5-30-03. That's almost a year!

You could have replaced Fodera with any high end or custom builder for the same effect.

I just imagined you waiting for an exotic wood custom job painted solid black and found it amusing.
