I wasn’t familiar with him. I’ve only ever seen him with female bassists, but I wasn’t into him during his prime.My brain automatically went to the funk group Cymande and their song Dove. I haven’t listened to them for a few months so thanks for jogging my memory lol.

Early Prince rocked and funked and his bass was a good reason why. Saw them at First Avenue while going to U of Minn back in the day.
