glad to see i'm not the only one who misses our friend andrea.
I wish I had placed my contrabassetto order years earlier so i could have one of those special instruments. the one we planned out was going to be so magnificent.
I really hope someone can copy the moulds and continue on the tradition.
I very much look forward to having the violin he started for me get finished. I think the final result is going to be something he would have loved. All the wood and the parts have been secured and are in the US, with a worthy luthier.
If anyone else follows marcos on instagram, he recently put tempora gut strings on his spada bass (the bass that really put andrea on the map for many of us.) it sounds even better than before... I wish i could see and hear that bass in person. especially in the hands of such a true master.
