Andrew Gouche and Improvement

The video ended just as he was getting to the most valuable nugget I've learned in my own musical journey.

Attitude and that sense of "professionalism."

I joke that every gig I've gotten, every time I've had someone say, "next project I do, you're the first bassist I'll call" anything like that, was NOT because of my meager skills but because I'm responsible, accountable, dependable, reliable, willing to learn...

"Be a good listener" and "never stop learning" are wonderful, but you have to enter those with the proper "willingness to listen" and "willingness to learn" attitudes to benefit.
