Angle the bottom speaker up if you must.

Check the pro-sound boards for splaying. It's always better to crossfire even vertically.

Im thinking that just angling them both 10 degrees would be better. There would be less phase cancellation with them stacked vertical and I would gain more ability to hear myself because they are tilted more towards my ears. This would be better than even the vertical 2x12 guitar cabs where only the top driver is angled. Im pretty sure this is what I'll do.
