Another Aria Pro II - Bass ID

I'm hoping someone can help me identify my bass. I wish I could remember when my brother bought it, possibly in the late 1970s or early 1980s. Sadly, those years are a blur.
Anyway, I appreciate any help anyone can offer.

It's a SB-900 (guessing 1980?) with what looks like a replacement Hipshot Kickass bridge.

I think the truss cover is on upside down!

Wow, thanks so much for that quick response. I am a guitar player, and I recently brought this back from my brother’s estate. I had to replace the bridge and I used that hip shot not knowing that it does not actually work with this bass. I just use it in my studio and love the way it plays but have a hard time getting it to sound right (probably my playing), I use a radial tonebone to get it where I want it. However, I am certainly not a bass player and used to love the sound of this bass when my brother and I played many years ago.

I haven’t seen a lot of these online. Mostly 700s and 1000s .

Yes, the old-school Aria bridge is countersunk pretty far into the body. You should be able to find a used original bridge, they pop up from time to time.

And right, the 900 isn't as popular as the single pickup models or the Elites. It has a LOT of controls for a passive bass so it can be a bit fiddly to get the sound you want.

While I'm sure you'd prefer your brother was there to play it, I'm glad you have those memories and hopefully can make good use of the bass yourself!
