Another band has our name?

I would change the name to something else. You never want your band to be confused with another. Just in the case Rappa, you may play a different style of music and will confuse people which is never good. Also the other band could be a bunch of screw offs and will ruin your good name, or vice versa.

I only want to be know as who I am, not one of three or four (or 400 hundred) different bands with the same name. Your music is unique, so should your name.

Agreed. We've actually looked into trademarking ours, but can't afford to do it right now.
I've mentioned possible alternatives in the case of a "Cease and Desist", but none of the other members seem to be motivated to do anything about it. I guess it doesn't matter right now, until either them or us make it big! lol!
