Another Dingwall Super J Video

I really want to put a four and five string Super J through their paces.
Oh man, that was so good! You are not helping my gas, I want a Super J so badly.
I have two very nice Jazzes, so a Super J would have to be astounding to make me want one, but I would simply like to check out Sheldon Dingwall’s take on the Jazz Bass.
I have one Jazz bass, the Dingwall would offer something similar yet different. That is how I am going to justify it, lol. I have played a couple of Dingwalls ( though not a Super J) and they have been outstanding.
I am fortunate enough to have a dingwall (abii) but man if the super J isn't my dream bass
I should really stop watching people play these basses, giving me a pretty serious case of GAS. Dingwalls certainly are the best thing to come out of Saskatoon.
FYI: The first clip is of an older Super J. They're no longer made like that with the long skinny pickups and control plate (or space for a control plate in the case of the video). The second example in post #8 looks to be the current design, although there are a lot of options available in how they're customized.
I have a custom Super J on order. The order was placed back in November of 2019 and the build time is ~18 months. Waiting is hard

Arlington is a great player. Seeing stuff like this makes me not want to ever post a play-through. 
I'll have my first Dingwall 'short scale' this fall. In my case it's a Super-P with a P-Tone bridge pickup added. Having played the longer Dingwalls now for 15 years...I have to admit I've never had a chance to even hold a 'super series' (32-35" scale), so I'm looking forward to it...though mine will be more P/P than P/J.
