Another MesaBoogie M6 vs. M9 Thread

Which would be preferred with a Berg two 1x12" stack? Common sense tells me the M6 should be plenty. However, experience with the headroom of higher power heads has really turned me on to the tone they provide. That, and the buzz around here leads me to believe that the M9 is a better head in tone all the way around.

I bought a used M9 because I wanted an new M6 but couldn't afford it. Both sound great, but now I am glad I have the compressor and GEQ. Power is not an issue, IMHO, with either one.

More tone options on the M9 while having more power. If you have the money, it is very much worth it.

I personally will never need all the headroom in my M9, but there is a small difference in price over the M6. The EQ and compressor are both excellent also.

I would never buy a M6 unless it was $300+ less than a M9.....

Both sound great, but now I am glad I have the compressor and GEQ. Power is not an issue, IMHO, with either one.

Same tone. More power / More EQ options. Pretty simple.
