yeah, i got a little lost, too --- couldn't hear enough of the rest of the ensemble --- but i have no doubt that she knew what she was doing! she's amazing!
She has amazing ability, but I think her music is becoming less amazing. It reminds me of Stanley Clarke after the first a few albums where he could play at light speed reflexively from all of those years of practice, but the quality of his music suffered a bit. I think slowing it down and getting into film scores gave him a second wind.
i agree about your stanley clarke observation --- glad he 'matured'. she will, too, i'm sure. but i'm glad she's out there doin' it, nonetheless. what a force!
