I am not new to the internet music forum thing, but I am new to TalkBass.
Started on bass in 1979 after a few years of piano lessons. Played a few thousand gigs in multiple genres, including a stint in a Wedding band with my mom on keyboards. (Strange family)
I love gear but my bass stuff has been pretty consistent (unlike my guitar and keyboard collection).
I have a very early EBMM Sterling (neck dated 7/8/93), and a very early Lakland 4-94 Deluxe in Amber with a maple board (S/N 276, so pretty early). prior to these two I have been thru a handful of instruments-
