The only black nylon tapewound with red silk I know of is GHS, although there might be others I'm not aware of.

They're NOT LaBella or D'Addario, that much I do know...

Galli black nylon tapewounds also have red silk: though they look a richer hue of red here, they tend more toward the orange/pink here and here.

Now, salmon silk as in the OP, I've never seen. Some older product? Status? did Picato make tapes? is the Dress yanni/gold or laurel/blue?

Sounds like GHS for sure. I would call their red "crimson red", which is the same red as the Boomers.

Yes, crimson red is a good description.

Gotcha. As I said, they could be either GHS or Galli tapes. In your case, they're most probably the former. Some future member may find this thread, so may be useful to them to point out tapewounds by two manufacturers sport red silk.

Good info... I wasn't aware of the Galli Black Nylons having red silk as well.

Wow! That actually what it looks like in person. That's great to know. Anyway, it's on my Stingray now..
