Another Uribam got this new stuff thread

So I go into local music store and buy an amp and cab. Just curious as to what others may think about the purchase. The amp was a Crate B200XL, the one with all the carpet all over it. The cabinet I saw the last time I was there and was hoping it would still be there this week. The amp was on a whim (because it was sitting atop the cabinet and plugged into it at the time I tried out the cab). The cabinet is a Sunn 410H. Amp was $149, cab was $169. I'm pretty sure the cab was a deal but the amp probably not. Was curious if anyone else had tried this combination and what you thought.

Also an afterthought, when I played it in the store there was an awful buzz going on. I got it home and no buzz. I read somewhere it was because of flourecent lights, as another person experienced the same thing with the same amp. Anyone have any tech knowledge on this?

I picked up a Sunn 410H Cab (used) years ago now and it's never missed a beat. Very reliable and a great sound (has kicked arse live & in the studio many times). I can't comment on the Crate head but I run a Mesa Boogie Buster Bass 200W Valve Head through the Sunn Cab and it sounds amazing - good choice of Cab I reckon.
