these are great basses that look just amazing, imho. i was kinda torn between the bo thumb and the bass you describe when it cam time to purchase a nice bass a few years ago. the thumb, to me, has the most disticnt tone of any bass that isn't a real fender p or j. that it what made me pick it over the the infinity. the tone of the infinity is still tremendous, but seemed just a bit more mellow, traditional sounding. an extremley versatile bass. im not sure if they are still making the sn infiity, and just a few months after i purchased my wick, all warwicks jumped in price. the infinity jumped almost a grand if i remeber correctly. everyone has a vette, jk, lol! get the infinity, you wil not be sorry(i hope!). it is a very unique bass, and i think it is extremly gorgeous with that zebrano wood.
the set neck on this bass was kinda neant to bridge a gap between bo and neck through. supposed to get alot of the attack of a bo(why i went with the bo thumb over the nt, i also like the chunkier neck of the bo over the nt) but also get the great sustain of a nt. a pretty good medium if memry serves me. i LOVE the chunky neck of my thumb, but the neck profile of the sn infinty is one of my other faves. to me(the infinty) it is so comfy, fast, and easy to play. a unique bass that you should not pass up. never mind what all the wick haters say. even at the new prices, i still don't think wicks are over priced or over rated. you really get what you pay for. i have never played a bad wick(even though i've played most at GC!), but i cannot say that about some other high end brands. some would say that i have a belly fool of wick cool-aid, but i call it like i see it. hope this helped. just let me know if you need any more help.
