Anti-clip

I was at prom last night, and I saw the DJ about his equipment. He showed me his rig and I asked his voltage, he said about 9000. Then I asked him about clipping. He said he has this little rack mounted thing with a blue screen... I think he said you could set the input voltage or something to prevent clipping. I dunno, I was a little drunk. But now I'm curious. What was he talking about?

I dont know about the rest of you guys, but if my rig was running on 9000 volts,
I would defenitly go ahead and spring for the rack mounted thing with the blue screen....:hmm:

I would guess that you ment to say watts, you were more than a little drunk, and the blue screen thing could have been some sort of compressor/limiter, installed somewere between his cd player and power amps.
